Meet the Corpus Christi Food Pantry and Assistance Team

Our Team is made of mostly of volunteers ensuring our overhead, and your donations are directed where they are most needed – the local community! Every bit of donated food and other necessities reaches our clients base. Presently we provide food to about 20,000 people a year and provide financial consultation / aid to over 500 households. We accomplish this through a team of 80 volunteers and 12 Board members, with only two compensated employees who serve as Directors. The Directors are responsible for each the Food Pantry and Assistance program respectively.

Ernie Belanger President of the Board

Ernie Belanger – President

Ernie Belanger is President of the Board. He is a Nashua native who worked 39 years in education as a teacher and administrator at the secondary level. After retiring in 2008 he became an active volunteer at the Corpus Christi Food Pantry and Assistance.

Dolores Davis Vice President

Dolores Davis – Vice President of the Board

Dolores is a member of the Immaculate Conception parish and has been a volunteer at Corpus Christi since 2000. She is also Past President of The Rivier Institute For Senior Education (RISE) and President Emeritus of the Rivier College Alumni Council. Delores is a retired Federal Government Contract Management Specalist. She has lived in the Nashua area for the past 30 years.

Marilyn Stoncius

Marilyn Stoncius – Board Secretary

Marilyn Stoncius is Board Secretary – She is a Rivier ” Golden Girl” and retired Nashua Elementary teacher of 41 years. Married for 52 years, a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and former member of the closed St. Casimir/St. Stanislaus Parishes, she is now a communicant of, and serves as representative for St. Patrick’s Parish. Marilyn thoroughly enjoys the CCFPA experience as a volunteer, Board Member and Secretary.

Sandy Ray

Sandy Ray – Treasurer and Board Member

Sandy is a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Litchfield, N.H. She is a native of Nashua and after graduating from Rivier College and has held positions as an educator, and math department head in local schools as well as a software engineer for Mitre Corporation and PSNH. After retiring, she began as the bookkeeper of the pantry in 2008, and then was elected to the position of treasurer in November of 2012. Sandy is also volunteer as kitchen help and driver for Meals on Wheels once a week.

Susan Dignan

Susan Dignan – Director, Food Pantry

Susan joined our Staff and Team of Volunteers the summer of 2013. She and her family are parishioners of St. Patrick, Nashua. Prior to her role at the Pantry, she held the position of Coordinator of Faith Formation at St. Patrick Parish for 17 years. Her inspiration and leadership at Corpus Christi provides assistance and support to more than 80 dedicated volunteers each week. Susan is an integral part of our Mission here at Corpus Christi, striving to treat each client and their familiy with the dignity and respect.

Kay Golden

Kay Golden – Director, Assistance

Kay has lived in Nashua for 34 years and belongs to Resurrection Parish. She came to Corpus Christi in January of 2001 as Pantry Director. Before that she had been a special education teacher for many years while raising a family of three children. She is now Director of the Assistance program and holds the title of Executive Director. She is a former volunteer at the Nashua Rape and Assault Support Services. She is a Eucharistic Minister and former CCD teacher.

Peter Desautels

Peter Desautels-Board Member

Peter has been a member of Corpus Christi Food Pantry and Assistance Board for over ten Years, after retiring from teaching in the Nashua Area for 30 years. He is also on the Board of the Mary Sweeney Home and on the Nashua Senior Activity Center’s Council. He is the President of the Nashua AARP Chapter 622, and the New Member Secretary of the New Hampshire Retired Educators Association as well as the Hospitality Chairman of the Nashua Area Retired Educators Association. Peter and his wife Pauline have been married for 50 Years and attend Resurrection Parish.

Guy Jean

Guy Jean – Board Member

Guy Jean is a Nashua native and is the Board’s representative from Blessed John XXIII Parish where he is also involved on various committees. He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War and he presently belongs to the American Legion. Guy is a retired teacher from the Nashua school system after 33 yrs. of teaching. In addition, also he owned the Guy Jean Real Estate Company in Nashua for 37 years. He served as a Hillsborough County court visitor, and also a family mediator for the city of Nashua. He became a volunteer at the Pantry in 1999 and became a member of the Board of Directors around 2002.

Bob Hesseltine

Bob Hesseltine – Board Member

Bob retired from Digital Equipment Corporation/ Compaq as plant manager in 1999. Bob’s association with the Corpus Christi Food Pantry was as a volunteer in 2000. He was elected to the Board a year later, subsequently elected Vice President for one year then elected president of the Board. Bob served as president for seven years until 2011. Presently Bob remains an active member of the Board of Directors.

Ramon Andrade

Ramon Andrade – Board Member

Ramon was ordained as a Permanent Deacon of the Diocese of Manchester in 2002. He has served as deacon for the multicultural parish of St. Anne/St. Augustine Manchester for over a decade. He has also worked as Diocesan Director of Hispanic Ministry for eight years and works as a field advocate for the Manchester Diocesan Tribunal. Ramon has been a board member of Corpus Christi Food Pantry and Assistance for the past ten years, For the past eleven years he has worked as a Parish and Community Outreach Coordinator with New Hampshire Catholic Charities at the Nashua district office. He was recently elected as representative for New England at the National Board of Hispanic Ministry. Originally from Puerto Rico, Ramon has made New Hampshire his home for 29 years along with his wife of 37 years. He has three daughters and one grandson.

Joan Bonnette

Joan Bonnette – Board Member

Joan Bonnette has been a member of the Corpus Christi Board of Directors since fall of 2012. She is the representative from St. Christopher’s Parish. She was born and raised in Nashua. Joan is also a member of the Advisory Board for Nashua Community College, currently serving as Vice Chair. She has been involved for many years with Nashua Garden Club and formally served as President. She has been a trained volunteer for UNH Cooperative Extension for over ten years, working as a Master Gardener and a Tree Steward. She is also the author of the book Diary of Wild Flowers about local wildflowers.

Rick Donaruma

Rick Donaruma – Board Member

Rick is a parishioner at St. Joseph the Worker in Nashua and has been a member of the Corpus Christi Board of Directors since 2009. He previously served as the Board Treasurer from 2009 -2011. Rick is a retired executive with 20 years of service to Fortune 50 High-Tech companies. He also has 10 years entrepreneurial experience having operated two start-up companies. Rick has been in active ministry in Nashua since 1990 serving as: Pastoral Council member; religious education teacher; Diocesan Clustering Committee Member; and most recently spearheaded a Winter Clothing Drive for NH Catholic Charities in Nashua. Rick and his wife Donna live in Pepperell, MA and have two grown children – Danielle and David.

Sigfredo Estremera

Sigfredo Estremera – Board Member

Sigfredo relocated to this country from Puerto Rico in 1963. Educated in Boston as a machinist, he worked in the local area as a machinist for 40 years. He is a member of St Patrick’s parish. Sigfredo is married and the father of 4 children. He has been an active member of the Corpus Christi Board since 1998 and also serves as a volunteer.

Barbara Brennen

Barbara Brennen – Board Member

Barbara has been a volunteer at CCFP for the past 12 years, volunteering on Monday & Wednesday. She has shared with us how “Working in the pantry opened my eyes to the needs of others less fortunate than me. I feel privileged to be a part of this organization.” In November 2013 Barbara joined the Board, representing the St. Louis Parish where she also serves as a Eucharistic Minister. She has been active in the fight against cancer and supports several charitable causes. Barbara is retired from the utility industry and has been a resident of Nashua for the past 53 years.

Diane Lavash

Diane Lavash – Board Member

Diana is a member of Saint John XXIII Parish, a volunteer of Corpus Christi since 2010 and has been a member of the Board of Directors since November 2014. She was a software engineer at GE, GTE and Digital Equipment Corporation/Compaq. After retiring, she was a substitute teacher at Infant Jesus Elementary School and a member of their Parent Group. She also volunteers at Marguerite’s Place and supports other charitable causes that include MA/NH Alzheimer’s Association and K.I.D.S in Disability Sports, Inc.

Maria Hey

Maria Hey – Board Member

Maria is a member of St. Stanislaus Parish. She is a former social worker and teacher. In social services, she worked with adults with developmental disabilities and also with the elderly. After a career shift, she earned a graduate degree in education and subsequently taught at the elementary and middle school levels. In parishes where she has lived in several states, Maria has served as a religious education teacher, RCIC instructor for children entering the Catholic Church, in pro-life activities and as a youth group coordinator. Currently she volunteers at St. Stanislaus with altar linens and sacristy needs. Maria and her husband John reside in Hudson and have two daughters. Together they enjoy volunteering at the Food Pantry on Thursdays.

Tom McCarthy

Tom McCarthy – Board Member

Tom has been involved with the Corpus Christi Food Pantry and Assistance since 2004, during which time Tom has served both as a volunteer and Board Member. Tom has over 30 years of corporate experience in the consumer electronics and defense industries. He is employed full time in the local area, is an active parishioner at the Immaculate Conception Parish, where he serves as a Eucharistic Minister and Lector, as well as participating in youth ministries, a member of the Parish Finance Council, and other volunteer activities. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus, and is a Knight of The Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem. Tom is the proud father of one daughter. He also serves as webmaster for the Corpus Christi Food Pantry and Assistance.
