How Does it Work?
Food:
Our goal is to serve our clients while preserving their
dignity. When clients arrive, we give them a "shopping list" of items to choose
from rather than giving all clients a pre-made package. Clients are asked to
choose what they or their family would like from the "shopping list."
Volunteers then fill the order and it is delivered to the client in a grocery
basket. Clients often tell us this makes them feel like they are at “a real
grocery store.” We usually have bread, bakery products and produce clients can
choose from while waiting for their orders to be filled.
Assistance:
Anyone in need of assistance other than food or basic groceries, can call 603-598-1641
to discuss their request. Depending on the outcome of that discussion, an appointment
with the Director of the Corpus Christi Assistance Program may be scheduled.
