XAVIER HOUSE
Did you know that residents at Xavier House receive food from the food pantry? A Xavier House staff member receives a weekly shopping list, 2-10 residents fill out the shopping list, Wednesday volunteers fill the orders, and a staff member from Xavier House picks up the food for the residents. Xavier House housing for elderly people and people with disabilities. Additionally, on Wednesday morning, a Corpus Christi volunteer delivers food from the Fresh Rescue Program to the Mary Sweeney House. This is a senior housing community for single women.
We are honored to be recognized with the Golden Sneaker Award that was presented to Corpus Christi food Pantry at this year’s Greater Nashua Crop Walk’s Interfaith Service. The sneakers, though playful, symbolize steps taken together to fight Hunger. Every mile walked, every dollar raised helps put food on the table for families in need. We are grateful to everyone show donated and supported this effort. Every step brings hope to our community.
Rotary Grant Brings Milk and Eggs to Families
We are delighted to share that our Pantry has received a generous grant from Rotary West to provide milk and eggs for families in our community.
Milk and eggs may seem simple, but they are the foundation of healthy meals and a strong start to the day. Thanks to Rotary West’s support and generosity, families will have access to these essentials bringing nourishment , dignity, and comfort to the table
Rotary West has once again taught us all a lesson in generosity.
If the pantry is closed due to inclement weather, it will be listed on the Closings and Delays page of the WMUR website: wmur.com/weather/closings. If the pantry is closed, it will NOT scroll on the bottom of the TV.
