Annual Thanksgiving Distribution Brings Holiday Cheer
On Saturday November 22nd, our Pantry hosted its annual Thanksgiving distribution, serving 186 families with everything needed for a holiday meal. Each household received a turkey, fresh produce, and a bag filled with non-perishable items to complete their Thanksgiving dinner.
The day was filled with generosity and joy. Volunteers checked in families, carried groceries to cars and kept everything running smoothly. Behind the scenes, others had ordered food, packed bags and coordinated deliveries . Together, their efforts ensured that every family was cared for.
Adding to the festive spirit, families were invited to choose Christmas items from beautifully decorated tables, with holiday music and “Santa’s elves” spreading cheer
With generous donations form Nashua’s Catholic parishes, and other local churches, Rivier University, Bishop Guertin High School, Boy Scout troops, 272 and 773, the Pantry was able to provide these Thanksgiving food baskets. The clients were very appreciative of everything they received. Thank you for your support and for volunteering for this annual event.
If the pantry is closed due to inclement weather, it will be listed on the Closings and Delays page of the WMUR website: wmur.com/weather/closings. If the pantry is closed, it will NOT scroll on the bottom of the TV.
